seat cushion removal

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to get access to the "E" brake next to the driver's seat.  I've been told the seat cushion is removeable without taking out the entire seat assembly.  How is this accomplished?

Dear massam-- The seat cushion can be removed seperately on your 1984 Corvette. How to do it depends on the type seat you have. For a complete look at this process, with complete diagrams (click on the diagram for a full-page view) go to http://autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/21/fb/6b/0900823d8021fb6b.jsp. Good luck from Bovan.

thanx bovan but i already saw those diagrams in my chiltons manual. The seat cushion removal is not explained anywhere. They are simple power seats - not the sport seats with inflatable bags in them. massam
