depends on a few things- condition of these cars can be tricky to determine. check for rusty rear fenderwells, as this is a common problem and may go overlooked if the rust has no pitted through. a couple hundred dollars to not an uncommon price for a car with 'issues', if you have found a peachy example with low miles, 2000-2500$ is probably where most sellers will want to start negotiations
If you look around you can find something a little newer than a 1984. No matter what the price get ready for trouble. I love Toyota but the car is 24 years old. Think about it.
depends on spec. t bar?supercharger? leather? year?
If in good shape, I'd say no more than $2500, unless other cool stuff were added on. However, I wouldn't recommend a '84 bcuz some time ago I heard the older MR-2s with manual transmission always have the pop-out problem with either the 3rd or 5th gear. It's always best to look for the later models since they worked out all the bugs and perfected them. Not to mention the improved looks & matching mirros and spoilers :-)
