In the tank generally. You usually have to drain the tank and take it down to change the pump.

It is indeed in the tank. take off battery + Unscrew the three screws in the "filler hole" Start unscrewing the metal bands near the LSD to the them lossened so the tank will drop. Dont let it drop all the way though. When you can get to them easily, undo the hoses on the pump. there should be 3. Glog them up unless you want gas all over the place.. Now go to the back of the hatch take the carpet up, unscrew the little round lid with 3 screws. Disconnect all the cabling to the fuel up. lower the tank by lowering the metal bands again. Unscrew the three screws on top of the tank, bingo, the fuel pump :)
