The hood of my 1988 corvette coupe is stucked. How to open up now?

The hood release lever is working but the hood will not come up.

Hey leory! You say the hood release works? Have you identified and activated the secondary release (usually a handle to the right of the center of the hood when you slide your fingers in the smaller opening left by the hood release)? If that's not the issue you'll need to see if you identify the problem, whatever is preventing the hood from opening. Crawl underneath and take a look up. Good luck!

5 years later and LouB I hope your realize a Corvette opens from the back forward, so there is no hood release mechanism in the front.
