I wouldn't even worry about it the slightest wether or not your blazer is safe. If anything I would be worried about the other guy that has to hit a blazer.

I survived rolling 5 X down a cliff, my passenger didn't even get a cut. In my experience I think they are very safe, although I've heard they tend to roll.
