My son is considering buying a 77 caprice from out of state dealer; and from the looks of the pics, it needs considerable work to the interior and we don't know how the car runs, although the typical comment is it runs great! They want $4000; shay advice would u give him? Thanks

Tell him to run, not walk, from that deal. Unless this car had been hot-rodded or customized to increase it's value, thats way overpriced. If he just wants an older car to mess with he can find much better deals out there - LOCAL deals too. 4K is a big gamble on an out-of-state nearly 40 year old car that as you say, needs work.

Not being a "classic" and desirable car, $4k is about twice what it is worth. Avoid the deal.
