wolf girl hi this is whdopn you can measure wiyh a tape measure,on your lug bolts, you have 5 lug bolts starting at any lug you measure from the center of a lug bolt to the center of the other lug bolt but you must skip one lug bolt,or other words center to center of every other one this is what is called 4and 3/4 on 5 meaning 4 and 3/4 inches between every other lug bolt on a 5 lug wheel or a 5 on 5 meaning 5 inches between every other lug so on and so forth wheather it be 4 and 3/4 or 4 and1/2 ect .but being its a 78 most likley 5on5 but be sure to measure.good luck with your new rims whd-opn

above answers are correct UNLESS it's a 9C1 police/taxi package, in which case it's the same as a half ton 2 wheel drive pickup of the same age. I don't recall the measurement off the top of my head but it ISN'T the same as the standard classic and other models
I wanting to buy new wheel for my 1985 chevy caprice classic and i dont know what the wheel measurement is. Can someone help me plz
