Hello, Price for a 1961 Impala started at $3,445, but a variety of options and engines could increase the price. The SS cost $54 more. A V8 engine would add $344-$500 to the price. CarGrrl

I have the original title for the 1961 impala sport sedan that my Grandfather bought in Dec. 1960. It has the Powerglide tranny and the 283 4bl engine. The title states that the price paid for the car was $2350, my Mother worked at North State Chevrolet and may have paid a different price for the car.
