Hello, Not sure if you mean actual ocelots (like leopards) or the drag racing clothing. Here is some information on the latter: http://www.chaparral-racing.com/Chaparral/dept.asp?dept_id=5428&mscssid=01EC499FE225246E2A1FBEA4EFADE28E&Gift=false&GiftID= Best of luck! CarGrrl
Hi cargrrl, I pasted the link and it no longer exists. Thank you for correcting my spelling of ocelot, I just guessed at it. Let me know if you can help with any info. A book is being written and the info is needed. Thanks eossln
Hello again, Try this: http://www.chaparral-racing.com/Chaparral/ Select "Ocelot" as a brand from the left-hand selection for brand. I hope this helps! CarGrrl
Hello cargrrl, The link went to ocelot products, what I need is the actual ocelot's names that was taken by Bill Clay to the Drags in Wichita and surrounding area strips. Thanks again...eossln

Bill Clay was a friend of mine. He had a 1959 El Cameno and the Ocelot would lay on the back window shelf and rap his legs around your neck. Bill's advice was always "Don't make any quick moves. He also had a shelves built around the walls of his house for the cat to walk around on. I went into the army in 1965 and don't know what happen to Bill or the Z11. He was originally from New Mexico and may have moved back. He always had New Mexico tags on his El Camino.

I watched Bill Clay race his 62 Z-11 Impala at the Wichita drag strip in 1963. He had come from another event and was flat towing the impala when the tow bar failed and the Impala took a roll in the ditch, Bill showed up with the car covered heavily in duct tape and raced the car that weekend. Bill continued to live in Wichita for a long time (and may continue to do so??) I had a friend contact Bill in the 80's to see if any of the Z-11 parts were still around, but he had sold everything! Don't know what happened to the Impala??
