1968 Chevy impala 4 door 327 engine swap

Does anyone know if a 5.3L v8 from a newer Impala SS fit in a 1968 Impala
327? if so what else would be needed to get the car moving correctly

If you really want to do with I suggest buying a plug and cruise crate engine/transmission from Chevy.

To swap in a used engine get the complete engine and transmission and all the smog equipment. You will also need the computer and wiring harness. Maybe Painless Wiring will have a kit to make the swap easier.
