A stock 350ci block with a 400 crank (machine work required) will give you a 377. If you use .030 bore and pistons that will give you the 383ci. Its not recommended to bore over .060 and I say .040 is far as you should go. But the short answer is No.
Ok yea this guy was saleing a 350 that was rebuild n he said it. Was bored over n now a 400. I just did no if it sounds right

Doing an overbore on an engine is not a performance modification, it's simply done to clean up the cylinders from years of wear and tear when you rebuild it. The 400 block is a complete different casting all together as it also has larger main bores than any other SBC ever made.
Not all 350 blocks can become 383's. Some cannot be modified to clear the 400 crank. A Dart block can easily go to 450 cubic inches.
