is it worth restoring a garage kept 1976 chevy corvette?
yea i would think it would be..... i have a 75 that was barn kept lol an im fully restoring it right now. its been a four year project but its slowly coming together. the mid-seventy corvettes are kinda sought after cause they are a stingray. if u dont have any real body problems u should be fine. probably just needs a lil tlc and an overhaul on the engine an tranny if its been sittin for a while.
they made so many that year i thought wow till i found out 9000 to 12000 dollars restored i bought a frame already done 1971 back halfed with cage,four link with 12 bolt chevy narrowed rearend,built a 468ci not sure what trans i want to run cuase i am go'n to keep it street legal and it'll be worth more when i'm done,it has 68000 original miles chassis for sale soon with motor and trans complete
If you want the distinction of an original by all means restore it. 1976 was the last year for the "Stingray" designation and the lastyear for C-3 convertibles, how that will impact the value of your car is yet to be determined. There are many different attitudes regarding the "Tweeners" 1974-1984 year Corvettes, if you love the Coke bottle/Shark body style as I do, restore it and let's see how the resale value continue to climb for these cars. GM will never build any more, that's a foundation truth of owning any pre-2012 Corvette.

If youve got the money for it sure. Dont expect to get it back though. If it just needs a new paint job and some interrior work then sure go for it. IF its going to need a full frame up restoration id say get it running and drive the hell out of it untill its dead.

those vettes are worth very little the restauration will cost much more than the car is worth.74 to 77 vettes are among the least sought after.
You're wrong check out the price to by a 1976. I purchased mine new paid $9000. They are going for $15,000 up to $20000 with upwards to 80-90000 miles. So the answer is yeah it's worth it. I'm restoring mine, may cost a small fortune but who cares. It's just money...
I bought a 76 corvette for 10,900. Has 105,000 miles. Interior is about a 6 out of 10 and paint is a 7 out of 10. Runs great and gets a lot of complements. How much will it cost to restore the interior and should I do it?

I bought a 76. Had it shipped from Nebraska to Philly. Has a 1982 Nebraska insp stiker on the window. Frame is rust free!Perfect!! Came with a bb 454, side pipes. I'm gonna molest it, show car!!
