What would a good deal for a 1980 Chevy Malibu be?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing
My son found a 1980 Malibu for $600.00. It has no engine, but the body and interior looks
good. The body has no rust, but has been painted with primer only. Would $600.00 be too
much?

Small block parts cheap. I see a drag car where you see a turd. It only had A 231 in w metric 200. 383/+700r4 or 4 speed. And you might just be on to a real pro street or strip car.
snooze you lose! if no title problems not bad buy!
Good price. If your kid is young and into working on cars, it will be a great experience. Go to a junk yard for parts, motor, trans, or what ever else is needed. Great experience. The car will take space for a while and cost money. If he puts his won sweat into it, he will own it. A kids first car is his jewel, especially if he has touched every nut and bolt. He may look into taking it to the High School shop for working on. Gets good advice, help, and a grade also.
