1974 Brake Line Replace

Is the removal of the body necessary to replace the brake line along the frame with ready formed line?

I did it without removing the body from the frame. I used a coat hanger and some duct tape. Wrapped the coat hanger around the brake line and taped it. then fished the coat hanger through the frame and carefully pulled the brake line through. All the books said it couldn't be done, but....
