Air Conditioning

Asked by Virago99 Aug 04, 2010 at 11:59 PM about the 1974 Chevrolet Corvette

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I do not know much about the air conditioning system in my 1974 corvette. It has stopped blowing cold air.  I do know you can switch from the R12 to the new refridgerant 134. What is involved in this process? I am have comon sense and can see how things work and are put together.  But i need to know where to get the information or talk with someone.  I have found out the compresssor has mineral oil as the lubricant and the new coolant has the synthetic lubricant in the coolant.  Thankyou for your help.
