can i burn unleaded fuel in this car ??

i am planing on buying a 1978 pace car.....will she run ok with unleaded fuel ??........

All corvette after 73 required unleaded fuel. But they also recommended the running of 91 octane. Like Papa states pinging will be heard on lower octane use.

thanks much Krez.....i thought that also....hi-test unleaded will have to do other then adding a booster eh ??......thanks for your answer bud....larry

Being a higher compression engine , you will need to use the high octane fuel , or an octane boost( problem is they usually contain lead as an ingredient.....harmfull to the catalytic converter ) With your car being older , chances are it will not have a catalytic converter.
