Which motor do you have in your '72 Mustang and truck? If its a 351 Cleveland in the Mustang, just use '78 F150 302 motor mounts on it and it will bolt right up to any 302/351 windsor transmission. If your truck has the 351 M/400, 460 motor, its a different story as the 351M uses the same bellhousing bolt pattern as a 429/460 Ford, so the transmission would have to be changed as well. In any case, with the right engine transmission combitation, it will fit, you just have to figure out the right combination for the power steering pump, alternator and a/c brackets/belts. as well as exhaust.
Ya, the mustang is a 351 cleveland, and the truck is a 300 straight six

Just use 302 motor mounts & it will bolt right up to the transmission. You'll have to change the frame brackets, any v8 ones from a similar truck will work. Try the accessory brackets from the Mustang they should work as well. We did this swap in a 1970 F250, worked great.
thanx for the help, the transfer was a no-go, couldn't end up gettin hold of the engine
