One place would be on the driver side on the bottom of the dash, you have to look threw the windshield to read it.

Step out of the car and look through the windshield about 4 to 6" from driver's side of windshield and about an inch from bottom of winshield on dashboard. U can only see it from outside

Those answers are all incorrect. Ford didn't start putting VIN numbers on the dash until the 1980 model year. The vin number locations are on the driver's side door, the b pillar (warranty tag), and stamped onto the top of the frame on the passenger side near the alternator and underneath the cab about 6-10 inches behind the front cab support

My 1971 has a VIN number on the driver's side dash just like all new vehicles as well as a door sticker Also on the frame and on the axels

On your vehicle registration and proof of insurance. On driver side door jamb. Its 17 characters. Also on drivers side bottom corner of windshield can be seen on dash board.
