Can I changing motor out?

I have a 01 ford explorer with a 5.0 in it and I am restoring a 80 ford f150 that had a 302 in it I know their the same motor but different years what will I need to do to swap make the newer motor work in the older truck?

You would need the engine wiring and the ECU. You will also need to install the cats and O2 sensors for the engine to run correctly.
