Beef up a 351-M

well depending what your going to use it for, since its restored im sure itll be a show truck, maybe a traveling truck or whatever, im susre you wont be doing any wheeling, so i wont suggest getting a 460. i honestly dont know any one from around here that has wasted their time on a 351-m, around here (where i live obviously) if you want a good motor for a somewhat dailey driver, or something to show off on the weekends we run 390'sm great power for no more than what youd use it for, decent mileage, easy to find parts for. and if you were actualy going to use it for a wheeler i would highly recomend a 460, cheap easy horsepower, great motor!
dude have got a 81 texas lariat, didnt need the restoration so i want to go fast..... even though the modified 351 and 400 are in the cleveland engine family. the modified engine was like a ford wet dream. and to get any sort of power gain out of it is ridiculous. bore, new pistons and all that apply, and a decked out top half of the motor. got my engine two dyno at 263 horsepower. the torque is awesome but not worth the shit time and money. better off with a windsor or a plain ol 5.0 . word sorry to be a party shitter, but youd might aswell keep the engine all stock and benefit the decent gas milelage. my name is nick and i own a ford!
dont mean to be a dick, but thats where you went wrong, you tried to beef up a 351 m, a true ford fan knows if you want power you go with the 390 or a 460, 390s are everywhere you look, and you almost cant destroy a 460, and they dont need a bunch of money to be awesome
