why is my '85 F-150 getting too much fuel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 1985 F-150 302 4 speed fuel injected it will start but it only runs good for about 5 seconds i
have replaced plugs, wires and the fuel pressure regulator. It wont idle. When i play with the gas it hits
and misses with about five second intervals where it wont miss then goes back to spitting and
sputtering. I have sprayed the vacuum hoses with carb cleaner and noticed no improvement so i don't
think it's a vacuum leak. PLEASE HELP!!!

Try cleaning the mas and the throttle body with cleaner. If there's dirt build up on mass air sensor and carbon build up on the throttle body that will cause that problem... Good luck
