Why would the windshield wipers quit working?

Asked by wailaki Apr 05, 2007 at 10:33 AM about the 1987 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It appears that everything else is working ok, just not the wipers. I looked to see if there was a fuse for them, but didn't see one in the diagram. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello wailaki-- The problem with your 1987 Ford F150 wipers is purely electrical, and electrical problems are not always easy to solve. Start with the fuse and there should be a diagram attached to the fuse box, under the dash to the left of the steering column. If the fuse is okay, I would suspect a faulty wiper motor. The following site shows you what you should be looking at there- http://autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0a/38/0a/0900823d800a380a/repairInfoPages.htm. Good luck from Bovan.
