1968 ford f 250 ranger 360 v8 No Start Issues

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1968 ford f 250 ranger 360 v8, while driving was doing about 60 mph on
highway, felt like engine would run out of power. If I slowed down to fifty would
run fine for a few minutes then same symptoms, so I would let off to forty run
fine for a few minutes then again.  This would continue until finally car would
die out.  If I let sit for about an hour car would start up I could drive for about
five to ten minutes then again same issues.  Towed truck home and changed
points, plugs, wires, coil, and battery now have difficulty just starting the truck.
Any ideas would be greatly appreiciated as I'm stuck and the truck has now
sat for over a month.

thanks ga im going to review the vent and blow it out, and possibly if im feeling up to it remove the gas tank this weekend to ensure that fuel from tank to carb is free of obstruction and clean. this will then rule out and gas issues. I disconnected the hose on the mechanical pump and was getting good flow at idle previous to breakdown.

Replace the rubber gas lines coming from fuel pump assembly going the the metal gas lines that run along the frame trust me one of them is collapsing.
