1988 f250- lift kit,
i need a way to lift my f250 4x4 extended cab long bed. its to small for me. it has a daul i beam front axle and i cant seem to find a good kit online for it. any tech ideas or websites any one know of to find this stuff. i want to put blocks on the axles but still need the pivot point to be lower.

you can either use a suspension lift or a body lift. in my opinion the best thing would be the suspension its safer and you can jack it up higher. but the body lift is cheaper and easier to put on. i have heard of people using hockey pucks as body lifts. im not sure how well they hold up but i do know that if you actually get a kit it will work but you will have to deal with body movement and the chance of flipping your truck. so if you have the money change your whole suspension.
Chris is definitely right. I have a 94 and did the I-beam lift on it. It was tough and the lift hinges were expensive. A Dana 60 swap is by far the better choice. Its much stronger and will bolt right up if you have leafsprings. I got 4" lift springs from RoughCountry and had my local 4x4 shop find me a Dana 60. The whole thing would cost about $1600, and take about 2 days if done correctly. The rear is where you save money. Just take the spring shackle mounts off, cut out the bottom, and put the shackles in upside down. I did it for $16 for grade 8 bolts. Or I can even sell you my old 4" lift hinges if you really want to go that route.
lift kit would be cheaper than the dana sixty swap because i have done both. lift was 600 with drop brackets and springs but i had some rear blocks layin around so i did not have to buy em. dana 60 costed me 2000 bought a whole truck but sold the parts to make it cheaper. go look at my truck in the pics red and white truck i will post pics of the dana 60 swap in a minit
You can use the leaf spring axle shim. It is made of aluminum alloy and offered in several degree. It has a pre-drilled center pin.

this is my f250 the white ford is a strait axle this is the independent front end like yours my bad
I have a problem with my 1988 ford f250, the problem is going off at any time, and you change the fuel pump, someone could help me?
