When i run my ranger for very long at speeds of 45 to 70 I have a valve that start pecking realy bad if i let it idle for a while it will stop. This motor has set for a while could it need new lifters if so can i replace them without pulling the heads and how many lifters will i need

change oil & filter add a bottle of lucus upper cylender cleaner to oil,this will free up a sticking lifter.if you useing 30 weight oil change to 40 weight.
