if there is a relay next to the batterie that the hot wire goes to it might be that aswell cause that is a starter relay that engages the electricity to the ignition and start and everything else eletronic

I have a 1987 Ford tempo while I was driving it just stopped running while I was driving. I replaced the module and it tried to crank but it didn't. I checked the module and the pick up with my light tester but it still won't crank.

Ford, in there infinite wisdom, put a fuse in the ign wiring aft of the radiator. They get hot enough, the yellow thermal plastic will melt slightly and coat the fuse blades. Insulates so we'll, ign power stops there. Books don't show that particular part

I had the same problem, was the ignition module. I replace it, Ford came up with a recall and reinbursed the price of the module.

I've put a igniton module and a coil and fires and cranks but then loses fire again and want start till car cools off again and sometimes want start can you help me
