The starter relay has two small wires one pink and one blue that along with
other headlight wires goes through the dash and attaches to the ignition switch.
Could you describe how these are supposed to attach to the ignition switch

One of the small solenoid wires marked R or I on the solenoid goes to the pos side of the ignition coil the other wire marked S goes to the start terminal of the ignition switch does this help?
Mike, I had planned to convert from 6 volt to 12 v, but decided to get it running before trying to convert. The 6 volt starter solenoid only has one "post" for a wire to go through the dash to the ignition switch do I need to make a connection from either the positive or negative battery connections of the starter solenoid to the coil .
The 6 volt starter relay does not have two posts for wires it only has one post in the center. I guess I am asking for confirmation that a wire should be attached to this post and pass through to the ignition switch under the dash but what should I do to attach a wire to the ignition coil
