1956 Ford Thunderbird Hard Top Convertible

Question type: Car Customization

Approximately how many hours and dollars are the average (normal) for a
complete repaint of my 56 Ford Thunderbird?  I have already paid the
restoration shop for 722 hours at $48.00 per hour ($32.5K) and the repaint is
still not complete!  I might add also that my car has been in the shop since
January 2019.  I personally bought all the paint and supplies and delivered
to shop during the month of June.  I realize that this project was a major
undertaking, but find it difficult to understand how this project could not be
completed within a six month period.  The car was totally dismattled for
painting (including engine, transmission, etc. and exterior lights and interior
seats) which will require reassembly at some point.  Including the labor
mentioned above, I have already paid out over $40K; and needless to say
I'm getting close to my breaking point.

Let me know if you decide to sell. I got one for my 16th birthday, but my loving family stole it and allegedly sold it to my brother who won't even let me buy it back from him. Mine is aqua and and white with black convertible top. I'm heartbroken but I can't afford 50 or 60 thousand dollars. Im not rich just a scammed little girl that is now 66.

So sorry to hear of your mis-fortune. Mine is the sage green with the black convertible top. Currently, I do not plan on selling as I would like to drive and show for a few years.
