I have a 1960 ford thunderbird hard top. There is a oneway switch on the driver piler that only moves one way. Can you please help out to figure out what this switch is used for.

I have pushed it and checked different things but it just does nothing when i push it. the wipers are vacuum and it runs off the fuel pump. so again i have no idea.

On my '59 that is a vacuum switch which operates the windshield wiper motor

THE SWITCH IS VACUUM FOR THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS THE BAG ON THE INSIDE FENDER TO CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD. THE SQUIRTERS. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER VACUUM SWITCH IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. CHANGE TO ELECTRIC WIPERS. THE VACUUM SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK.
