Hello, I have a 63t-bird my brakes work but i have to stand on the pedal to make the car stop. A friend said try plugging the vacuume line to booster. no change. What could the problem be?

Not sure how to check for vacuum at the booster itself. Please explain. Should the line coming in on passenger side produce vacuum for the booster?
I think your problem is the fact that it is a 63! You are probably used to the brakes on the newer cars... 4 wheel disk brakes. Well, your Bird has 4 wheel DRUM brakes. Look up old car test and yours took about 350 feet to stop from 60mph. The 65 added front wheel disk and the test show it stops in under 170 feet. I don't remember the exact numbers but these are very close. If that is not your problem let me know with more info.
