How do you replace the tail light sockets on a 1963 thunderbird.The cover over the sockets seems be non-removable.

To my memory, you need to replace the entire reflector/pigtail/socket assembly as one piece. You could always Dremel-out the socket assy and soft solder a replacement socket from something else that IS replaceable. Check Amazon for Chinese replica parts too.

Bulb sockets are an integral part of the housing. The lens is a separate item. JPV's idea of cutting one out is workable if you can't find an OEM replacement.
