Engine stumbles under load only when leaving stop ligh

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a vintage 1971 Thunderbird 4 Door with a stock 429 except for new
Edelbrock carb. The car runs great except once it gets warm, it stumbles and
pings very bad from a stop light under a load(engine revs fine in neutral). It has
new points, condenser and coil.
Any ideas?

Sorry....timing's been checked numerous times....it's just difficult to tell if it's fuel or electrical and I'd love your advice on that. Something is causing it to only have the symptom under a load and particularly when up to operating temperature. There are new plug wires but they are 7mm guage....perhaps not strong enough?....perhaps something more serious like a valve?....any other advice would be most appreciated! Thank you!
Had a 68 eldo that pinged and stuttered when accelerating. It needed a higher octane. Had a 67 Impala with the same problem. It was a cracked distributer cap. Hope that helps.
