There is no switch adjustment as a pressure switch at the end of the master cylinder is used. Ensure that you have a good electrical connection where the wires plug into the switch. Unplug the electrical connector and use a jumper wire to short across the two connectors. If your brake lights come on, all is good beyond the switch. You can further test the pressure switch by attaching an ohm meter to the two terminals of the switch then pressing the brake pedal. The meter should go from infinity to zero ohms when the pedal is pressed. Mine was intermittent and NAPA got me a new pressure switch for about ten bucks.
Change pressure switch still hard to get brake lights when stopping still have to press very hard to get the Break lights to come on
My brake lights are coming on I have to press the pedal for them to shut off then they come on again. I have a 1957 T-Bird
