1978 Ford Thunderbird front and rear lights not turning off when car does.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Front light and the rear lights will not turn off. I have unhooked the battery for the time being but would like to get this fixed asap.

The headlights work just fine. And they do turn off.

Best way to describe it is that the day time running lights wont turn off when the car does.

I know that it doesn't have day time running lights. Its the parking lights that come on when the headlights come on. The switch for the headlights might be the problem. That switch turns all the lights on ... there has to be a break in the wire somewhere.
