Hard to say....It is difficult telling someone a value of their car at times. The 80's wasn't the best year for styling on Ford's part. Depending on overall condition and personal desires, maybe the range would be $1500 to $3000? Might want to do more research to find a value that you think fits your car.
So you still think that I could try to sell for $1,000 as is. The engine can also be rebuilt.
I don't know where you are but here on the Gulf Coast $1000 would be tops with it needing work. It's not what looks like it needs to be fixed but what you run into when you get into it.
It may be worth less there as there are more to pick from I would think. Still, it should be worth $1000 even as a parts car if it is as good as you say, but not running. A 1980 is not a desirable classic so it will take someone who really likes it. Good luck.
Thank you is what I understand not a desirable body style. It is setting in my driveway. We will never get it fixed. So I am going to post it and see if anyone would be interested. Waiting for some nice weather to take a few pictures. Will as for $1,000 or Best offer, I think.
I think you should be able to find a buyer in the Chicago area. I have had good luck here with Craigs list also. Don't take the first low ball offer. I was asking $650 for an 95 Chrysler. I advertised it as honedtly as I could, didn't run, had sat for 2 years. Within 3 hours I had 4 offers in the $350-$350 range and I turned them down. Next day I had an email from a fellow to see when he could pick it up. we set up a time an day and he bought it on sight at advertised price. If my advice has been worth it to you, please check the box. Thanks
Just wondered how the sale of your car is going. If my idea was helpful I would appreciate it if you would mark my answer that way. Thanks
