step by step directions on how ot change fuel pump on 1985 accord

Disconnect battery Relieve pressure from fuel system 1. locate the mounting plate and cover just in front of the left rear wheel. 2. remove the 10mm bolt that holds the cover to the mounting plate. >note: use needle nose vise grips to clamp the inlet hose to prevent fuel spillage. 3. remove the fuel lines from the fuel pump. 4. disconnect the wires at the bullet terminals. 5. remove the 3 10mm bolts that hold the mounting plate to the vehicle. 6. lower the plate and the pump as an assembly. > note: disconnecting the inlet line from the frame and fuel filter may be necessary to remove the plate/pump assembly. 7. remove the pump from the plate. Installation is reverse of removal
