Rear Brake Lights
The rear brake lights will not turn off.
Even when the head lights are off & the car is turned off, the rear lights remain on.
Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Brake lights or Tail lights?
behind the brake pedal there should be a switch that depresses when the pedal is pushed sometimes they just need adjusting. if adjusting it does not work it may be the switch thats faulty
if its the rear tailights there is a short somewhere in the harness if its the brakelights that stay on then its the brakelight switch thats easy to fix follow the brake petal under the dash and youll see what looks like a buttun that gets pressed when the brake petal is fully up swap out that and your good to go if the cars is automatic youll see 2 switches sometimes in that case youll need to go to the auto parts store to see wich one is the brake light switch
had this problem with a 93 legend. the brake switch was not being depressed because there was a hole on the brake pedal exactly where the switch was supposed to be depressed at. I am not sure as to how that hole got there.. maybe years of use? switch was adjusted too far down? i dont knoe but... i just filled up the hole with a screw and it was fine after that.

After many forum searches, the common thread is the plastic bumper behind the pedal is broken or disintegrated. if you are a contortionist this is an easy job, otherwise it's a pain. make sure you get the correct thickness or this cheap fix will destroy your brakes by putting slight pressure on the pedal. Too thick by 2mm caused my brakes to vibrate so bad I had to pullover on I95, scary. Get the OEM or find the proper one and start aiming for the hole and push the tab all the way in. you tube has lots of videos
I had this problem last year. The Honda dealership wanted a large sum of money to replace the brake pedal. I took it home and cut a small rectangular piece of aluminum can and fitted it into the back of the brake pedal. It was the same thickness as the original plastic bumper.

Hey guys I have a 2004 Honda Civic sedan. And my brake lights outer and trunk lid don't work, the tail lights on trunk lid work but outer don't. Bulbs are good, switch is good, fuses are good. All my lights were working fine yesterday but now I'm having this issue.. any ideas on what the problem might be?
The brakes are not compressing the button where the brake switch is, I did the same as the other person did with putting a screw in the hole where the brake meets the switch and problem resolved.

I'm currently soaring so I apologize if this doesn't make any sense. But my local Honda dealership wanted to charge me almost $600 to replace my blinker fluid reservoir. I took it home and ordered the replacement for only $30. Unfortunately my wife was displeased with my decision to fix the car myself that she took it to the dealership and paid to have them fix it. Also unfortunately , my wife has left me for the manager at the dealership. So I lost my money by paying my wife's lover $600 dollars to replace a blinker fluid reservoir that I absolutely could of changed myself, I also lost my job because it took James 5 days to repair my car causing me to miss work, and ultimately leading to me not being able to afford my payments and loosing the car as well. This morning I woke up with only one shoe. ....I LOST MY SHOE!! WHAT ELSE!?!? Anyways I hope to hear from you all again soon.

My back lights on my 2016 Honda Accord won’t come on every time we change the fuse and put a new bulb in it blows within seconds what’s causing this problem! I have a crack in my headlight and it rained in it so could that have cause some issues
