Hi Ramirez! The rules and workarounds on sale without title are going to vary quite a bit from state to state so you will need to contact your states Registry or DMV for that answer. As far as identifying the year of the car you can use the VIN # and/or dataplate to nail that down. Visit this site (http://www.mustangdecoder.com/decoder.html) and that should get you started. Good luck!

Because Mustangs are so collectible and modifiable, you'll want to be extra careful trying to determine the year. The Mustang Forums have a section of details on classic Mustangs that may be helpful: http://www.mustangforums.com/classic-mustang/, but if you're considering paying a collector's price, you'll want to verify VIN numbers to be sure: http://iml.jou.ufl.edu/projects/students/Blommel/. You should definitely try to get the title from the previous owner if you plan to sell the car, though. The DMV.org site has details & requirements for auto transactions by state: http://www.dmv.org/. Hope that helps!
