My bmw x5 some times does not start if i jump it it starts but none of the instruments panel works and if i press the gas pedal it does not respond

my 05 x5 some times just clicks like a dead battery when i jump start it it will start wright up but it will not respond when i press the gas pedal also the low tire pressure gauge and the all wheel drive lights up also some times it does not shift gears

when replacing battery do i have to reset any thing

Your battery is no good...it does not have enough juice to start the vehicle or work any of the instruments. Replace the battery and you should be fine.

If all the warning lights on the instrument panel are on, but the car isn't responding while your driving it. It is more likely it is a charging problem involving a possible short in or out from the alternator. The battery simply provides the start power. The alternator continuously generates the voltage. Have a Technician check the individual wires, not just the system
