How do I disable or adjust the sensitivity on my 2000 Z3?

Hi, I haven't had a z3 for quite some years now but I vaguely remember the alarm module is located in and above the glove compartment. You need to remove the glove box (which should be rather straight forward) to access this module. There are adjustment screws on/in this module which allow you to fine tune the sensitivity of the various sensors. It should be a very simple DIY, try google "z3 alarm sensitivity adjustment" and you should be able to find detailed instructions. Good luck.
Thanks a lot Vince!!! Big help
If you are referring to the alarm system, you need to know if it is factory installed or aftermarket. If it is factory, go to a BMW dealership an they can adjust it or remove it via the body control module in the vehicle. If it is aftermarket you will need to locate the main box for the system(usually on drivers side under steering column in foot box area). Once located check the outside of it for a small dial. That dial should be the sensitivity. Some aftermarket devices are set through the key-fob. So first thing to do is figure out if its stock or not.
My 1998 Z3 Roadster hasn’t had an alarm sound for 10 years and now it’s making a low effort of an alarm Noise every now and again -after it went off my door lock motors ceased to operate. I use the key to lock and unlock
