2001 F150 power door lock actuator
During warm weather only, my interior and box lights will stay on for several minutes after I have opened/closed the driver’s door. Even when driving. This has been remedied in the past with a new power door lock actuator. This will be my fourth one should I decide to replace it. What will happen if I just cut the wires in the door to the interior and box lights? Can I still use the key fob to unlock the door? Can I still use the light switch on the dash to illuminate the interior and box lights? Will I have any other issues if I cut those wires? I am tired of replacing the actuator. Truck is getting old so I really want to avoid putting any more money in it. Thanks for the advice.
