Engine

Asked by Plaza_813 Jan 27, 2017 at 02:44 PM about the 2001 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replace the intake manifold on my truck due to a
crack in it. After replacing the manifold the truck
ran fine down the road for about 10 miles den the
entire engine shut off. Now the engine won't turn.
What is wrong???

May be the battery & or the alternator not charging, may be the starter, For the engine to shut off like you say, I wonder if the engine seized up. Try putting a socket with a strong arm on the crankshaft pulley bolt and try to turn the engine over clockwise. If it moves ok, then it is not seized up.
