Transmission problems

Asked by Bodeaner Jun 14, 2018 at 03:12 PM about the 2000 Ford F-150

Question type: General

I have a 2000 Ford f150 titen
5.4L extended cab 4×4 truck
with a automatic 4r70w
transmission in it. The
transmission will go in
reverse fine and works good.
But when I put it in drive it
will roll for a few minutes .
Then it stops rolling and
goes nowhere. Im wounding
if I need to have it checked
or if it just needs to be
rebuilt. And if it need to be
rebuilt what price range
would I be looking at
spending.

Time for a new transmission. Check with your Ford dealer for a factory rebuilt which have the best warranty going. I think I paid around $3,500 for mine a couple of years ago.
