MY 1999 FORD F150 WILL NOT COME OUT OF 4WD

hey i have a ford f150 girlfriend f150 girlfriend dad f150 grandpa f150 as you can tell i love f150's check your links between the transfer case and the tranny and if thats not the problem there is something wrong internally with your transfer case
also sorry forgot there is no fuse unless you have the electronic transfer case and if thats the case check the connection on the transfer case the sensor should be towards the top of the transfer case and facing the rear diffs
sometimes the gears become kinda stuck when you put it in 4x4 same happens on my bronco.all you have to do is drive in reverse a little bit or another one that works for me is putting the truck on an incline facing down the incline.
driving in reverse works with the older tranfer cases but not usually with the newer electronic ones
see if you have oil in your T-case, a friend of mine didn't check his and his t-case seized up on him and it required a full rebuild.
electronic shift solenoid is pooched. about $200 for the part at your local ford Dealership and super easy to remove/replace. In a pinch, you can remove it altogether and use a large flat-blade screwdriver to turn the engagement cam on the transfer case to get in/out of 4wd.
is is a vacuum t-case or a floor shift if its a vacuum try to put it in reverse then nuetral then push the 2wd and wait a minute for it to shift if still nothing check the solenoid cheers
