Dash lights

Asked by Josh Apr 14, 2016 at 11:47 PM about the 1997 Ford F-150

Question type: General

I have a 1997 f150 with the most annoying issue.
At night while driving the dash lights and the turn
signals stop working. The low/high beams work
marker lights work brake lights work. How ever
when this happens all other lights except dash and
turn signals cut out. Both turn signal lights and the
high beam indicator lights on the cluster turn on
and stay on until I turn the switch off and turn it
back on. Also while having the lights on if I turn the
dimmer switch from the lock position to all the way
down the same issue occurs. Any help would be
appreciated. Was thinking of getting a new switch
but was looking for other possibilities before I just
went and threw parts at it.
