No reset if still on there still is a problem with the charging system check for a blown alternator fuse or wiring problem
Even if ive replaced the alternator and battery?

Firebird is (always) correct. Yes. Check for that alternator fusible link, a red 12 gauge wire, that is located near the starter motor relay. Just trace the heavy red output wire from alternator over to that fusible link before the starter relay. If it's burnt, it will be melted, twisted. Gasoline engine trucks have one fusible link....diesels will have two.
Wire is not burnt, crimped or otherwise
Im having the same problem except for my pats theft light just started blinking like crazy and it gives me crank no start to go along with it.freinds say check your wires.well there are many wires found a few bad ones towards trailer wires ,fix that. Now the audio fuse in fuse box keeps blowing, wtf is that .i thought i saw a seperate radio fuse.pcm relay and fuse ok.is my key erased now

We changed the motor out in our E150 and the light stays on. The mechanic checked it and it is charging, so can't figure out what is going on
Yes, there is a way to reset it, but you have to have the proper equipment. https://youtu.be/FYUTM4bgha4
have an 2007 F-150. The Alternator "seized" hence breaking the belt. replaced alternator. pulley that got wasted and belt. Started truck. Starts, runs, but battery light will not shut off. I was told to disconnect the battery to reset the light. What else can be wrong??
