Brake fluid is hydroscopic meaning it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere naturally! General rule of thumb is the entire system should be flushed every 2 years! What usually happens the fluid absorbs moisture and since water will compress the brake pedal will feel soft , spongy, and start to drop more when pressed! Water also attacks the internal parts of the system and can formulate rust! Use the recommended fluid for your car it will be in the owners manual
