Toyota Sienna 8th seat

you would have to mount any seat in a safe way and the seatbelts would have to be engineered to work correctly in a collision- whew- why not just buy a minivan that is already equipped the way you want-
Yes. Well my point is the 2nd row of all siennas have two positions for spacing the captains chairs. Some models come with a third mini seat that fits in between them. Often people remove and don't return this mini middle seat as well. My question was if the mountings were the same regardless of model package so that it could be conceivable to obtain a mini seat at some point. Obviously I would love to buy exactly what I want, but I have a budget to actually own it. Maybe if you really understood my question and knew more of the specifics of this minivan your answer would have been helpful.
Most likely the mounting points in the body are there.

Did you ever figure out the answer? I’d love to know. We have the 2011 and our family has expanded to 4 kids. I’d love to take up some friends offers to carpool to events but as of now I can only fit an extra body in the 3rd row. I’d love the jump seat option if possible.
So probably too little too late but From what I understand this is not possible. Apparently the 7 passenger and 8 passenger have different mounting arrangements for the floor anchors and therefore you cannot just add the extra seat to a 7 passenger version.
These people sell one for Siennas: https://blog.csoradio.com/yes-it-is-possible-to-add-an-8th- seat-to-your-minivan/

8th seat mounts only on the left side 2nd row seat equipped for the 8th center seat mount base extension which requires wider seat rail spacing than the 7 seater seat rails. 5th seat rail can be added to accommodate the 8th seat ready left middle row seat but it's not an easy job. Some of the mounting nut for the 5th rail won't be accessible from the bottom of the van for AWD due to additional AWD drivelines. There was a shop in NYC area that was selling the aftermarket 8th seat but it seems they went out of the business. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUDvR87OEt0
