I need answers fast before I go buy this vehicle.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The dash lights that shows the
milage and the gears is dead.
Does it mean that the computer
system going bad or the B.C.M ? Is
it safe to keep driving it?
The owner said it doesn't hurt to
drive it Is this true honestly I hope
it's all good to drive

I would not buy it in that condition. Could cost hundreds to fix.

There is a set of resistors in the instrument cluster, which contains the odometer and PRNDL indicators. The cluster will need to be removed, to access the resistors, which have broken away from weak soldier points. If it were me, I would look to get at least $250.00 knocked off the car to compensate for your having to pay to have the instrument cluster removed and resistors replaced. eBay does have some sellers who do this repair work, if you are willing to remove/replace the cluster, and ship it to them for the repairs.
