Service Engine Light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My service engine light is on and I am not sure
why. Oil pressure is good, alternator is maintaining
good voltage, battery is good, new catalytic
converter, brand new fuel pump and filter. I do
have a smell when the heater is on that smells like
something maybe burning.

Without the trouble code(s) I could only guess. Your local auto parts store can read the codes for you. Write them down and post them here.
I just picked it up from our machanic today and it come on after I left, so no codes yet. I will post as soon as I get them.
If the light is on there should be codes.
Code reads P0300 (also, all spark plugs and spark plug wires have been replaced)
They say the engine is not getting to the correct tempature
